2024 AMA Awards
The 2024 Awards Dinner will take place on November 15th in Gainesville!
The highlight of the evening will be Brigadier General Charles Dorman (Retired) getting recognized for his lifetime of service to our country, as well as his continued dedication to the Gator Military community.
We are accepting nominations for the following categories:
Veteran of the Year
Eligibility: current member of UFAA and honorably discharged from any of the Uniformed Services
Award Description: This will be awarded to a Veteran who exhibits service to the University, upholding of the mission and core values of the UF AMA, and service to their community.
Servicemember of the Year
Eligibility: current member of UFAA and currently an Active Duty or Reservist member of the Uniformed Services
Award Description: This will be awarded to a person who exhibits service to the University, upholding of the mission and core values of the UF AMA, and service to their community.
DOD Civilian of the Year
Eligibility: current member of UFAA and currently an employee of a verified Department of Defense agency
Award Description: This will be awarded to a person who exhibits service to the University of Florida, upholds the mission and core values of the UF AMA, and exemplary service in their work contributions in their DOD profession in support of the mission of the Armed Services.
Family Member of the Year
Eligibility: current member of UFAA and currently has an immediate family member that serves in the Uniformed Services
Award Description: This will be awarded to a person who exhibits service to the University of Florida, upholds the mission and core values of the UF AMA, and service to their community.
