The University of Florida Association of Military Alumni is 100% run by volunteers, including the Board of Directors. The following are the current positions we are seeking leaders to fill for the 2024/2025 Fiscal Year beginning on July 1st! 

Communications Staff

LinkedIn Community Manager

Works with the Social Media Director and VP of Communications. Work to grow our professional LinkedIn group and stimulate engaging conversations with group members. 

Facebook Community Manager

Works with the Social Media Director and VP of Communications. Work to grow our Facebook group and stimulate engaging conversations with group members. 

Social Content Curator 

Works with the Social Media Director and VP of Communications. Find great content that is relevant to our community, and provide to our social media team for sharing. 

Content Creator

Works with the Social Media Director and VP of Communications. Assist in the creation of graphics, captions, and videos for social media. 

Volunteer Engagement Team

Gator Club Military Liaisons 

Works with the VP of Volunteer Coordination. We are seeking leaders to serve as military liaisons for any of the 70+ Gator Clubs around the country. As our military liaison for your local Gator Club, you will serve as our official representative and assist with coordinating events and partnerships locally. 

Gator Affiliate Group Military Liaisons 

Works with the VP of Volunteer Coordination. We are seeking leaders to serve as military liaisons for any of the 70+ Gator Clubs around the country. As our military liaison for your local Gator Club, you will serve as our official representative and assist with coordinating events and partnerships locally. 

On Campus Coordinator

Assist with communicating with and coordinating with on campus organizations and personnel.

Community Development Team

Athletics Ambassador

Works with the VP of Community Development. Help develop relationships and collaboration with UF Athletics Departments. Promote and support the "Saluting Those Who Serve" football game. Develop relationships with current and former UF athletes who have military service. 

Ambassador

Works with the VP of Community Development.  Ambassadors serve as a vital liaison between the association, the university community, and the broader public. Leveraging a robust social media presence or a distinguished position, the Ambassador endeavors to cultivate a positive image for the association, foster relationships, and facilitate engagement. The role embodies a balance of prestige with humility, aiming to honor the shared legacy and promote the values of the University of Florida within and beyond the campus grounds.

Group Administration

Researcher

Works with the Secretary of the Board and Historian. This team will help gather historical data on UF Alumni who are military veterans, assist with award programs and hall of fame, and research biographies of notable military Gators.  

Committee Member

Awards Committee

Assists with metrics, application review, and selections for annual awards winners and the Gator Military Hall of Fame.

Scholarships Committee

Assists with promoting, fundraising, application review, and selections for annual scholarships.

Events Committee

Assists with planning, promotion, and execution of group events. 

Fundraising Committee

Assists with the planning, promotion, and execution of fundraising efforts.

Alumni Relations Committee

Assists with the planning, promotion, and execution of fundraising efforts.
